On December 20th my step brother Brian was married in the Boise Temple to his beautiful new wife Amy. It was a cold raining day but Amy braved the weather for pictures outside the temple. The poor thing looked so cold and so happy.
Afterwards we meet up for a lunch in for the families. It was fun to watch the newlyweds, they looked so happy! That night they had a reception. The clubhouse looked beautiful but my favorite was looking at all their pictures together.
Congrats Brian and Amy!!
This December was recital time and being the good aunt that I try to be I made sure to get to both of them. First up was Emma and her dance recital. It was fun to watch all the little kids dance to different Christmas songs. Emma loves to dance and afterwards kept saying how fun it was.
Second was the twins piano recital. Steph is teaching them this year and is doing a really good job. She teaches around 12 students now so she had two recitals to split the number of students. It was fun to watch the boys play. They each played one song on their own and then a duet with Steph. At the end of the recital Steph played a song as well. I hope they keep it up, I just love music!
I saw this tonight and it brought a smile to my face. I am so excited for what the future holds!
On November 29th my mom and Lynn treated us with a train ride! It was on Thunder Mountain Line which is such a cool, old fashion train.
We had a beautiful car all to ourselves complete with a second open car if we wanted to ride outside as well.
The ride it’s self was called Santa Express and took us to “the North Pole.” On the way there Santa came and made a special visit to our car. It was so much fun to watch him talk to the kids.
After he left we moved to the outside car and enjoyed the view. I love being outside!
The “North Pole” had a place for pictures with Santa and Mrs Clause. We also got candy canes, one of my favorite things about this time of year!
It was a fun afternoon and the weather ended up being perfect! Thanks to mom and Lynn for such a fun treat!
Part of working in Law Enforcement means that even when we have holidays we still have to work. This year I had to work Thanksgiving night. Thankfully I was still able to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family since my mom moved up dinner to 2 so I could be there! I love the holidays and being able to spend it with my family means the world to me! I am so thankful for the life I have and feel blessed to have so many amazing people in my life. Dinner was wonderful as always and I loved ever second of it. After dinner we gathered around the TV for a Christmas movie. I was sad when I had to leave to head to work but thankful for the time was able to spend with everyone.
On November 7th my sweet niece Kylie turned one. She is my little buddy and we are always taking pictures together. We both light up when we see each other and I just love this little girl! I feel lucky that I get to be her aunt and I hope we will always be best buddies.
On November 13th it started to snow, and it keep snowing, and snowing.
It was beautiful to look at and Molly was in heaven.
When I was able to be at home I could enjoy it.
When I was at work it was like this none stop….
Here is how my boss explained the day our work newsletter….
“Although it’s hard to describe how crazy the day was, the numbers might help. Between 0400 and 0415 on the morning of the 14th, I stopped to count up how many crashes and slide-offs we had handled to get the figures to our PIO . Short-handed D4 had 25, including the only fatal of the day. D5 had 42, D6 had 37, and D3, dispatched by Shauna and Lindsay, had more than everyone else combined – a very challenging 155 crashes and slide-offs for the night. The next day, my inbox was filled with emailed pats on the back from Lt. Col. Wills on down – the officers, who had worked so hard themselves, really appreciated all of our work. Good job!”
